UV LED market is on the rise again
With the rapid development of science and technology, UV LED technology is setting off a wave of innovation that integrates health and technology with its excellent sterilization, light curing, medical beauty and other diversified applications. According to the latest data from CSA Research, by 2024, the scale of China's UV LED market has reached 2.8 billion yuan, achieving a significant year-on-year growth of 23%. This trend indicates that the fierce competition between technology and the market is profoundly reshaping the industry landscape.
Domestic UV LED chips have firmly established a dominant position in the small and medium-power market, forming a large-scale application advantage. With significant cost competitiveness and adaptability upgrades, its product matrix comprehensively covers core scenarios such as small UV disinfection equipment and basic light curing systems, and meets the mainstream market standards in key indicators such as light power consistency and service life, successfully building a complete industrial ecological chain. At present, the application map has extended to more than 20 sub-industries such as home appliances (refrigerators/air conditioners/washing machines/humidifiers), health care (mother and baby disinfection cabinets/mite removal devices/air purifiers), intelligent manufacturing (3D printing/printing curing) and environmental protection (water purification systems/industrial coatings), showing strong market penetration.
Domestic UV LED chip technology continues to break through the bottleneck of high power, and domestic companies are accelerating to seize the industrial high-end market. At the technical level, the chip power density has achieved a leapfrog upgrade: the light output power of the medium-power chip reaches 30-55mW under 100mA current drive, and the high-power product breaks through the 100-150mW range under 350mA drive. Among them, the 350mA-level chip achieves 268.7mW light power output (electric-to-optical conversion efficiency 12.69%). Technological breakthroughs directly drive application scenarios to expand in depth in the industry - a large-flow UV LED secondary water supply disinfection system has been implemented in Quanzhou; large-flow water sterilizers above 10T/h are used in industrial scenarios such as ultrapure water preparation in semiconductor factories.
