Domestic high-end liquor brand packaging suppliers are mainly responsible for printing bottle labels for high-end liquor. As the market's aesthetic requirements for liquor labels increase, the label surface not only needs to be coated with high-gloss varnish, but also needs to be coated with UV coating to achieve anti-fingerprint and anti-scratch effects.

Key Bottleneck:

To meet peak season orders, customers demanded that production line speeds be increased to 180 meters per minute. However, the company's existing mercury lamp curing system lacked sufficient energy density, resulting in incomplete curing of inks and coatings at high speeds. This not only caused a "tacky" phenomenon on the product surface, leading to label adhesion and damage after winding, but also resulted in a scrap rate as high as 2%, severely impacting production capacity.

Solution:

For our clients' specific on-site conditions, we recommend and deploy systems such as the CG-CT10 series high-power UV-LED water-cooled module curing system.

Customized Optical Design: Considering the precision required for high-end labels, we adjusted the module's optical lenses to ensure uniform light intensity distribution, effectively covering the entire printing area and avoiding uneven edge curing.

High-Efficiency Water Cooling System: For high-speed production lines, a high-performance water-cooling solution is employed to ensure stable lamp head surface temperature even during high-intensity continuous operation, extending lifespan.

Intelligent Integrated Linkage: The curing system is linked in real-time with the printing press's main control system, enabling "start-and-stop" operation without the need for preheating and standby like traditional mercury lamps.

The Results

Through this system upgrade, the client achieved significant improvements in both the production environment and product quality:

  • Production Speed: Increased from 150 m/min to 180 m/min (a 20% increase).
  • Curing Effect: Improved from surface tackiness and blocking risks to fully cured and ready for immediate rewinding.
  • Surface Hardness: Enhanced from 2H to 3H+, providing superior abrasion resistance.
  • Overall Energy Consumption: Significantly reduced by 45% compared to the conventional mercury lamp setup.
