Product Overview

3013 is a versatile, high strength UV light curing adhesive developed for bonding crystal, glass, metal and other substrates. Even on small bonding areas it builds a firm joint, and the cured adhesive layer stays transparent: after long term service there is no whitening and no peeling. It is therefore an ideal choice for crystal crafts, glass decorations and any application that requires a clean, invisible and transparent glue line.

Because 3013 cures only when exposed to ultraviolet light, the operator keeps full control of the working time. Components can be positioned and re-aligned before curing, and the bond sets within seconds once the UV source is applied. This makes the adhesive suitable for both hand assembly of decorative crystal pieces and semi-automatic production lines where repeatable, consistently clear joints are required.

Applications

• Crystal to crystal bonding: assembly of crystal blanks, crystal figurines, crystal awards and crystal decorative blocks with an invisible joint line.
• Glass crafts and decorations: glass ornaments, glass art pieces, glassware components and laminated decorative panels.
• Crystal or glass to metal bonding: crystal or glass parts joined to metal bases, frames, inserts and fittings, including hardware for trophies, lighting fixtures and display products.
• General transparent assembly: any application where a hard, clear, long lasting bond on crystal, glass or metal is required.

How to Use

1. Clean both surfaces and remove dust, oil, grease and moisture. Dry the parts completely.
2. Apply a thin, even bead of 3013 to one surface. Keep the bond line as thin as the joint design allows.
3. Press the parts together and align them. The adhesive does not cure until it is exposed to UV light, so parts may be re-positioned at this stage.
4. Expose the joint to a suitable UV light source until the accumulated energy reaches 1500 mJ/cm². Curing depth depends on the UV transmission of the substrate: clear crystal and glass cure fast, while opaque or UV-blocking materials require edge exposure.
5. Remove any squeeze-out before curing, or wipe it off immediately with a suitable solvent while it is still uncured.
6. For deep or shadowed joints, cure in several passes from different directions to ensure full conversion.

Storage and Handling

• Store in the original closed container, protected from light, at 8-28℃.
• Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture under the recommended storage conditions.
• Do not return used adhesive to the original container to avoid contamination.
• Avoid skin and eye contact. Use gloves and eye protection, and work in a ventilated area.

3013 is supplied in 250g plastic bottles with UV-blocking labels, packed in export cartons. Custom packaging, private labeling and OEM specification adjustment are available on request.
